Rated at 150 psi, Flanged and 160 psi, Threaded The Wright-Austin Type T is an economical centrifugal separator that helps
provide clean, moisture free air, gas, or steam. The separator causes the gas stream to enter a controlled centrifugal flow.
This action forces the entrained moisture and dirt to the outer wall. Unable to reach the outlet, 99% of droplets sized 10
microns and larger gather at the drain outlet below. Our
exclusive Vortex Containment Plate guarantees no re-
entrainment. Efficient separation with no re-entrainment
assures a dry air, gas, or steam flow at the separator
outlet. The Type T is compact, line-supported, and easily installed. This particular type is effective in applications where the system has an entrained liquid flow rate that does not exceed 40% by weight of the separator’s air flow capacity.
Vessel Materials - Construction - ASME Code Sec. VIII, Div. 1
The vessel is made of cast iron conforming to ASTM-A-278. The separators are designed and constructed to ASME Code for unfired vessels, Section VIII, Division I. ASME Code UM and U stamps are available at extra cost. Non-Code NPT units rated 250 PSI @ 250ºF are also available.
